This webcam is located at ground level on the shore of Alcatraz, aimed south at San Francisco. The most frequent stars of the show are seagulls, but it's a great way to check to see if it's foggy. At night if it's clear you'll see the luights of San Francisco, but if it's not the image will be virtually black.

Note: Like many webcams, this one sometimes goes through periods in which it stops loading, then it will start up properly again. If all you get is a Java error we apologize for the problems in the feed.
